Nice day of multiple practices.
First Hachijo shitauchi practice. Attempt at each of three concepts: flat -- shitauchi is unchanging, sensitive -- shitauchi adjusts to soloist, free -- shitauchi is more surprising.
Thoroughly enjoyed the practice and am interested to see the video.
Improv over Suga 3 ji01. Really fun and lots of good practice on L Maracas-style motions.
25 minutes of straight improv over Suga 3 Ji01. ManMan liked the new track and I appreciated the challenge of that tempo (144) and playing in 3. That track forces me to be comfortable with longer pauses and bursts of fast hits... things I really need to improve.
25 minutes of slow/med/fast Handtagonism practice. It's really fun to play that over Improv Nan 01.
Learned some Sambahege (sp?) grooves from Delton that Ernie things he'll use for Finale 2018 piece. Fun!
