Ending at 60ish bpm, vamping on groove for a long time, then running through actual ending patterns again and again. Really fun and satisfying to play so slowly. Was able to make myself feel a bit of performance tension by requiring that I succeed at the Unagi pin 10 times in a row and by playing parts for Hiro. Found multiple variations for ending groove that were really inspiring. Ended at 96 bpm.
As the time got later, switched to beginning section. It turns out the intro is usually at about 112 bpm. 96 feels painfully slow but good for practice. Discovered R flicks in groove pattern 2. Keep working on that.
This is the best I've ever played these patterns. More, more, more!
