Tested how the "mu" -> arm swings idea might work as beginning. Realized 80bpm is awkwardly slow. Had chosen 80bpm because it allows for comfortable R arm swings hitting ka on 2 and 4 but pushing the tempo to 92 seems still doable. Mu felt a little better at that tempo.
Converted the N Groove to 6/8 ("NG6"?) and liked it okay. Then tried Twiddler groove at the same speed and video recorded going between the two (124-0386).
It might be useful how these two rhythms are very distinct but both play the same 2/4. However, I'm not sure yet if these grooves can inspire me the way the trap stuff does.
Next:
- practice L hand on groove while R swings
- try writing the build to this part, arriving at NG6 for next soloist
- jiuchi players take over with 2/4 and next soloist transitions to 16th-note feel by playing quarters, then eighths, then finally 16ths?
