Fun!  Am trying to be better about doing some of what I "should" (practicing for gigs, preparing for rehearsals, etc) in addition to what I most "want" (brush improv and odaiko composition, at the moment).  I struggle so much to find moments of inspiration for my own composition/choreography, I start to think that's all I should focus on.  It turns out, however, that if the gig is great (like Galileo), with music that is interesting and challenging like Andy Akiho's, then I can lean on that for inspiration.  Thank you Andy!

Notes:

10-3 first two pages.  Should probably play R-side shime when possible since that view will be most interesting for audience.  Adjusted sticking accordingly.  Was able to play through those pages from memory by end.

Struggled with 5-ka section technique.  L hand panics and rushes during fast accents runs.  Starting slow and focusing on L helped.  Re-memorized this section.

Got into bangin' groove section.  Realized the importance of keeping the ka triplet really regular.  Again L hand is often uncertain in this section.  Had fun looping it and playing more slowly.  Could use more of this.

Next: keep going with 10-3.  Do the 5-ka accent run practice and slow bangin' groove practice again.
