Performance at Sat Nam Yoga Festival.
Wrap-up
Fun gig! Glad to be a part of it and to use both naname and kawatsura. Fun trying to play taiko in that gentle, supporting-role context.
(Didn't take notes on day-of. From memory.)

Another amazing day at Keshet. This feeling of appreciation for the place and the people leads to productivity! I wasn't sure I could handle the 7 hours of studio time but I had fun the whole time! (I also switched between high-energy and small drumming tasks, and took frequent breaks for water and laundry.)
More fun with Octatrack!
It's so helpful to have new samples for a new track. Keep recording!
Progress during 24-hour train ride from St Louis to Albuquerque!
This was my second attempt at utilizing Leanna flute... and it was so fun! The sweet/sad feeling perfectly matched the view from the train. Possible title: "Prarie".
Flute + taiko collab.
Wrap up
Visited Leanna in Seattle with Minh for two days and realized it won't be as hard as I thought to make a performance version of Prairie, and more. Leanna is applying to performance opportunities for us and we'll definitely keep working together. She's amazing!
I'm back! That's maybe the longest I've dropped out of keeping a practice diary. With the changes at ATUS (losing off-hours studio availability, realizing I have to teach less in order to really commit myself to creating music for touring), I've been a bit down about practice. I didn't do any practice during the current cross-country tour either...
until now!
