I continue to play shamisen (though I've been on a break during the apartment remodel).  Katsuyukie Sensei continues to be an inspiring musician and friend.  We haven't been able to get a nagauta group running consistently in LA, but I've had a half-dozen or so gigs doing shamisen for movie soundtracks.  It's a treat to get paid for doing shamisen work!

It's fun to see these early designs, just as we're renovating our apartment.  The mobile home idea stalled because we couldn't figure out the legal aspects of this concept.  I love the idea of using small homes and beautiful trailer parks for compact, dense housing, but apartments are a much more established approach.  In the intervening 8 years since this first post on mobile home design, I learned the following.

Update - 160930

I no longer run my own server but it's fun to see how I was doing it almost a decade ago.  I switched to hosting because email is sometimes tagged as spam if not coming from a major provider.  I might eventually host again as I'd like to run my own git repository and tor relay.  It's amazing that free software continues to make this possible after all these years!
