Fun!  Am trying to be better about doing some of what I "should" (practicing for gigs, preparing for rehearsals, etc) in addition to what I most "want" (brush improv and odaiko composition, at the moment).  I struggle so much to find moments of inspiration for my own composition/choreography, I start to think that's all I should focus on.  It turns out, however, that if the gig is great (like Galileo), with music that is interesting and challenging like Andy Akiho's, then I can lean on that for inspiration.  Thank you Andy!

 

 

Galileo 10-1, 10-3 review and deeper practice

Practice known sections until new material arrives.  Trying to be ready and more solid for practices with Isaku and Joe.

Try to get in a total of 5 of these practices.

Wrap-up

Galileo May performance canceled.  Sent honest message of disappointment to YS... haven't heard back so perhaps I won't be hired by The Industry again.
Amazing experience working with Andy, Isaku, Joe, and others.  Definitely worth the time and effort.

Disappointed about Thu student turn-out but thankful for 9-10 slot for catch-up time.  Came home itching to practice and picked up shime head and brushes.
