Handtagonism v3 at Grand Annex

Debut

Program Description

The choreography of Handtagonism began by thinking of each hand as a character (i.e. mother and son) and experimenting with how they might interact.  This combined with the use of spinning allowed for extremely long paths through space interspersed with fast, glitchy rhythms.

Extra early morning practice.  Good work Bergstrom!

Felt motivated and enjoyed changing practice topics over course of morning.

VL joined prac.  Studios were in use so made the most of the carpeted meeting room.  Dispensed with the aluminum food trays and just went with socks.

Explanation of goals for May 19.

I'm extremely pleased with the work VL has done and her progress.

But I can't help wanting to achieve more.  Specifically, two high goals: groundbreaking new choreo and a big leap for VL in timing and movement skill.

VL is not currently on track to meet these, so I want to focus on VL these next two weeks.

The ideal would be to practice daily between now and 19th.

VL should think very critically about what's most helpful, and let me know how to be most helpful.
