The 37-mi round trip is a bit daunting (RPV <-> ATUS <-> Kaz') but it's always worth it. Got caught in a "delay spiral" on my way out of ATUS... need to better figure out how and why that happens.

Shime-daiko is the most accessible taiko form. It can be practiced at home with a simple practice pad and bachi. The rhythm and dexterity challenges can provide a lifetime of practice material. Compare this to odaiko, which requires a massive, expensive instrument and suitable sound-proof space.
