Regular weekly practice.  Amazing tail wind going... brutal head wind returning.  :)

Refreshed various jiuchi and played through piece a few times.

Took turns practicing soloing.  The more dramatically-varying gears definitely help me as a soloist and Kaz too.  Perhaps this is almost always true.

To-do: loop the audio from that solo-free runthrough two weeks ago and practice the final "cymbal" section of my solo... am still losing the groove during certain licks.  Practice an "in", an "out", and a "through" for each hit in the groove.

Suga 3 work on ending.

Working from a slow tempo, figured out how my and Kaz parts sound together for 3/4 groove into triplets on shared center drum.  Definitely helped to finally be able to hear the ride continue in my head through the triplets.

Idea for what to do during melody in 6: story-telling!  Was a lot of fun and might be the right, quirky addition to the end section.  How much structure would be helpful for this section?

Possible structural crutches
- Who starts
- Fixed number of alterations
- "sentence" structure
- Mad Libs; "If there's one thing a/an ___animal___ knows well..."

To-do: ask mom why and how to describe in linguistic terms the fact that "I was thinking that..." is more difficult to follow than "I was thinking that the humble peanut is..."
