Aka and Galileo exerpt for Industry fundraiser

Plan

Wrap-up
I felt good overall about the event and our involvement in the fundraiser, but disappointed with my ability to successfully memorize parts A and B of the Galileo excerpt. As I'd feared, I lost my place during the show and struggled to get back. Perhaps practicing for so long when tired jumbled the parts. After sleeping well for a few days, it felt like things finally sank in, and at our next practice I felt far more confident about the structure.
Aka was fun and we made strides in trying to figure out how to balance with the pan. Using mutes let us play pretty hard at times to keep the energy of taiko but without overpowering the unamplified pan. For my parts, brushes and nya scrapes were useful and it felt like all my movement improv practice pays off here too. I was excited that I was able to improvise movement over a 6/8 feel.
Jack Bazaar was well received.
