Description

Ran out of steam... want to focus on Traipse.

Pina-inspired dance piece.

Current idea
- dancer 1: "hands", proletariat, fast loop (daily life) but with slight changes
- dancer 2: "bachi", performer
- dancer 3: "take", dramatist

 

Each on own then all together, parts interlock.

Can write this anywhere with a mirror.  Move garage mirror to living room?

Process first steps

  1. rough draft of hand-dancer loop - DONE
  2. brainstorm take ideas
  3. rough draft of take
  4. brainstorm bachi ideas
  5. rough draft of bachi
  6. overlay all three

Pitfalls

Risk of failure: 
Loss of interest
Solution: 
Remind yourself that a rough draft is valuable, even if you don't love the end result. Without something substantive the work is largely lost.

If in the end you don't like the no-taiko choreo, then if nothing else you'll use it as an example to others of why you stick to taiko!
