Sylvan Esso "With Love" streaming

This was an absolutely wonderful streaming performance.  The energy and love between the performers was totally palpable, even over the ether.  I found myself crying multiple times (Free, Frequency, H.K.S.T., Rewind, Make it Easy).  Jenn Wasner (bass, keys) was also teary eyed in Make It Easy.  I fell in love with her in that instant.  And then there's Amelia!  And Nick!  I fell in love with all of them, really.

Just when I wanted longer instrumental sections, Adam Schatz did a totally moving sax solo in H.S.K.T. and Meg Duffy followed with a great guitar solo in Rewind.  Matt McCaughan and Joe Westerlund on drums were awesome, with a mix of straight-ahead pocket grooves and glitchy, clicky-clacky patterns (Dress, Rewind).  McCaughan reminded me of Isaku in the way he was feeling the groove so deeply.  Alexandra Sauser-Monnig and Molly Sarlé (of Mountain Man with Amelia) were backup vocalists and Dev Gupta on was on keys.  This performance of Make It Easy moved me to the core.

I came away more in love with music, and more in love with Sylvan Esso!
